Safe Beach Day is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the U.S. Revised Section 508 standards, and EN 301 549.
Conformance status
Safe Beach Day is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA due to third-party content. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The remaining non-conforming items are generated by embedded third-party social-video players and are mitigated by accessible textual alternatives provided alongside them. The most current evaluation is published as our VPAT® 2.5 report (PDF).
Compatibility
Safe Beach Day is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies in their current versions:
- Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows; VoiceOver on macOS and iOS; TalkBack on Android
- Browsers: current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile
- Operating-system zoom and high-contrast modes
Safe Beach Day is not designed to be compatible with browsers older than the latest two major versions or with Internet Explorer.
