Twin Lakes State Beach in Santa Cruz is a beautiful coastal destination known for its soft sand, gentle waves, and scenic views of the nearby lighthouse and harbor. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, and walks along the shoreline to nearby Twin Lakes State Beach and the Santa Cruz Harbor. Fire pits are placed on the beach seasonally to enjoy the terrific sunsets. Twin lakes can be popular for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding in the summer months, but conditions vary, so check conditions before you go. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally in the summer. Visitors can also explore the nearby Schwan Lagoon, a natural habitat for various bird species and wildlife. Of note, the beach is closed at 10:00 PM and there is limited off-street parking.
