"Rio Del Mar Beach, the southern portion of Seacliff State Beach in Santa Cruz County, is a popular destination near Aptos, offering easy coastal access with restaurants and services within walking distance. Visitors can enjoy the beach’s scenic beauty and convenient location, with seasonal fire pits and parking available at the Rio Del Mar Esplanade. The Rio Del Mar Platform, located at the end of Beach Road, provides additional beach access with limited amenities. Lifeguards are typically on duty only during the summer season. Visitors should always check current conditions, use caution near the water, and never turn their backs on the ocean. If you see someone in distress, call 911 immediately. Both beaches close at 10:00 PM and parking areas close at sunset. For more information, please visit Seacliff State Beach
